Stepping on snakes while chasing goats.

Wow what a session! Today I photographed Jenny on her family farm. As we walked towards the woods I became very excited to see the bright and vivid colors of fall. We had one great shot after another. During our session Jenny would tell me all about the wonderful memories of growing up on the farm. There is one story that stands out to me so I want to share that with you. Jenny told me that one day their goat got out of it's fenced in area. As she was running and chasing the goat trying to capture it she stepped on a snake. She shared with me that as she told her friends this story the friends said "you have a goat?" Well that is not all they have. She has chickens, turkeys, cows, dogs and cats. I am not sure she may have more than that on the family farm. Here is a slide show from her session today. I hope you enjoy the beauty of nature I was experiencing today.

Jenny I had a great time with you and you are absolutely stunning in your images. Thanks for a great day.

Yesterday was great... Here I am at the park to photograph another high school senior. We photographed her in her first outfit and then we began to talk about what other outfits she had. It was to my surprise that one of her outfits was with camo and her bow and arrow. Wow! I was excited. I have never had that as a prop before. We found some tall weeds to photograph. This was a good thing as this was a real bow and arrow and we were not sure if we would get in trouble. You know that could be considered a weapon. I was a bit worried as I wanted to photograph with the arrow pulled back and to shoot straight down the arrow. Well I chickened out because I was afraid... Well here are a few samples. Courtney you were great! I hope you like your images.

Oh My That is Beautiful

Every session has a story. Today's session is no different. I just have to share this one with you. As I was finishing up this session I had my client start to play with her hair. I love this time of the session because we always come up with some of the most beautiful images of the girls. After I shot this group of images I showed the image to her mom on the back of the camera and her expression was priceless. The mom took a deep breath and held her hand over her mouth and said, "Oh my that is beautiful!" Then she proceeded to say, "We are not going to buy that one." It is these images that make the parents realize that their child has indeed grown up. It is funny how until something like this happens we see our children as a child forever. They loved the shots and granted me permission to blog this story. Thanks for a wonderful session today. I had a great time with the both of you.
